“Infine ecco qualche informazione sul primo “Virtual Worlds Camp“!
Il Virtual Worlds Camp è un evento basato sul sistema del BarCamp che pero’ si svolge in un universo virtuale (in questo caso si tratta di diversi mondi virtuali basati su OpenSim). Significa che questa “non-conferenza” non ha un soggetto predefinito. Ogni partecipante puo’, se lo desidera, presentare un tema di discussione il giorno dell’evento (D-day).
Come funziona?
Per unirvi a questo primo Virtual Worlds Camp, dovete, al minimo, iscrivervi ad uno dei mondi virtuali partecipanti allo scopo di raggiungerci il D-day. Da questo giorno (07/09/09) vi potete iscrivere a FrancoGrid (Francofona), Cyberlandia (Italofona) o ReactionGrid (Anglofona).
Allo scopo di organizzarci al meglio e preparare il materiale necessario all’evento, vi chiediamo ugualmente di iscrivervi alla lista dei partecipanti presente sul wiki dedicato.
Dove?
Potete essere presenti ai laboratori ed alla conferenza nei mondi virtuali partecipanti con un solo ed unico avatar. Quindi potete teleportarvi da un universo all’altro senza dover creare diversi account.
Ecco i 3 primi universi virtuali (basati su OpenSim) :
- FrancoGrid
- Cyberlandia
- ReactionGrid
Chi puo’ partecipare?
Tutti possono partecipare, il Virtual Worlds Camp è completamente gratuito. Lo scambio e la condivisione sono le parole chiavi di questi incontri.
Quando?
Il Virtual Worlds Camp si svolge in 2 giorni, il 10 e l’11 ottobre 2009.
Cosa fare?
Per i partecipanti : basta essere presenti , una sim è stata costruita allo scopo di accogliere 4 laboratori contemporaneamente. la pianificazione verà fatta lo stesso D-day.
Per i GridOwner : abbiamo una sim ( formato OAR ) a disposizione. Basta che la personalizziate coi colori dell’evento. La ( o le ) sim dedicata/e al Virtual Worlds Camp deve poter accogliere 4 laboratori. Bisogna quindi dividere la sim in 4 parcelle (soprattutto per i media). La vostra sim deve ugualmente essere attrezzata con il voice ed il sistema hypergrid ( indispensabile ).

Se siete GridOwner ( proprietari di una grid OpenSim ), potete contattare Jean-Marie LOUCHE o Vincent EXERTIER allo scopo di aggiungere la vostra grid e rendere questa manifestazione ancora piu’ internazionale.

At last, some information on the first Virtual Worlds Camp !
The Virtual Worlds Camp is an event that is based on the Bar Camp model, but is held in a virtual universe (in this case it is in several virtual worlds that are based on OpenSim). What this means is that this “un-conference” does not have a predefined topic. Each participant can choose to bring his or her own theme for discussion the day of the event (D-day).
How-How Does it Work?
To be part of this first Virtual Worlds Camp you must, at least, sign up with one of the Virtual Worlds that are participating, prior to Virtual Worlds Camp D-day. At this point (09/07/09) you can join FrancoGrid (French speaking) Cyberlandia (Italian speaking), or ReactionGrid (English-speaking).
In order to organize best and preview the necessary material, we are asking you all to sign up on the list of participants on the wiki for the Camp.
Where-Where Will it Be?
You can attend the workshops and conference in the virtual worlds with one avatar alone. Thus, you can teleport from one world to the other without having to create a new account.
Here are the first three virtual worlds (based on OpenSim)

Who-Who Can Attend?
Anyone can participate, and the Virtual Worlds Camp is completely free! Communication and sharing are the watchwords of this get-together.
When-When Is It?
The Virtual Worlds Camp will take place over two days: October 10th and 11th, 2009.
What- What To Do
- For participants: All you need is to be present on a sim (island) constructed to hold 4 workshops simultaneously. The planning will be done on the day of the meeting.
- For Grid Owners: We have a sim (load OAR-OpenSim Archive) ready. All you need to do is personalize it with the colors of the event. There (or )the sims dedicated to the Virtual Worlds Camp are able to hold 4 workshops. Thus, you need to divide the sim into 4 parcels (especially for the media streams). Your sim should also be equipped for voice from the hypergrid system.

If you are a GridOwner (owner of an OpenSim grid) you can contact Jean-Marie LOUCHE or Vincent EXERTIER to add you grid and make this demonstration even more international.

Enfin un peu d’informations sur le premier “Virtual Worlds Camp” !
Le Virtual Worlds Camp est un évènement basé sur le système du BarCamp mais qui se déroule dans un univers virtuel (ici, il s’agit de plusieurs mondes virtuels basés sur OpenSim). C’est à dire que cette “non-conférence” n’a pas de sujet pré-défini. Chaque participant peut, si il le souhaite, apporter un thème de discutions le jour J.
Comment ca marche ?
Pour rejoindre ce premier Virtual Worlds Camp, vous devez, au minimum, vous inscrire sur un des mondes virtuels participant afin de nous rejoindre le jour J. A ce jour (07/09/09), vous pouvez vous inscrire sur FrancoGrid (Francophone), Cyberlandia (Italien) ou ReactionGrid (Anglais).
Afin de nous organiser au mieux et prévoir le matériel nécessaire à l’évènement, nous vous demandons également de vous inscrire sur la liste des participants présente sur le wiki dédié.
Où ?
Vous pouvez retrouver les ateliers et conférences dans les mondes virtuels participants avec un seul et unique avatar. Vous pouvez donc vous téléporter d’un univers à un autre sans devoir créer plusieurs comptes.

Quels matériels ?
Pour les participants : il vous suffit d’être présent, une sim (île) a été construite afin d’accueillir 4 ateliers simultanément. Le planning se fera le jour J.
Pour les GridOwner : nous avons une sim (fichier OAR) à disposition. Il vous suffit de la personnaliser aux couleurs de l’évènement. La (ou les sims) dédiée(s) au Virtual Worlds Camp doit pouvoir accueillir 4 ateliers. Il faut donc découper la sim en 4 parcelles (notamment pour les médias). Votre sim doit également être équipée de la voix et du système hypergrid (impératif).
